About Us

The Extreme Scene debuted in August 2003 as America’s first action sports radio talk show.  Featuring longtime action sports journalist Cyrus Saatsaz, former sponsored snowboarder Steve Blankenship, pro surfer Omar Etcheverry, with Producers Dave Cesare, Joe Hughes, Rick O'Shea, and intern Aaron Moss, The Extreme Scene was syndicated nationally on radio stations including KNBR and KSCO.

TheExtremeScene.com features all the latest in action sports news without the corporate censorship regularly seen from most other action sports sites.  We don’t have suits or outsiders telling us what we can and can’t talk about, unlike most other industry sites.  TheExtremeScene.com also features complete podcasts of every segment of every show, so you don’t have to miss a minute of the action if you live outside the broadcast radius.

With special contributions from pro surfers Grant “Twiggy” Baker, Shaun "Gary E" Burrell, and Bron Heussentamm; pro snowboarder Joanna "PNut" Dzierzawski, the 40 oz Killah himself Mike Aguirre (who spawned two of the top snowboarders in the world in Molly and Mason Aguirre); BMX Flatland King Terry Adams; nasty shit talkers Pirate Salsa and Green Eagle, plus a slew of other contributors, TheExtremeScene.com gives a perspective found nowhere else.

The Extreme Scene is always seeking interns, and currently has openings for sponsorships.  We will gladly give Bro Shakes to other members of the industry in exchange for links and/or promotions.
