A surfing dog named Buddy won the 5th Annual Surf Dog Competition at Imperial Beach, CA.  Buddy, a Jack Russell terrier who was recently the first dog to be inducted into the Surf Dog Hall of Fame, won his fifth Surf Dog Competition and remains undefeated in surf dog contests.  His owner, Bruce Hooker of Ventura, said after the win that it may be time for the 14 year-old Buddy to retire.

Lee Crane AKA Boardistan is a Douchebag and a Pussy

B_logo_mx_normal.jpg

To catch you up on a few things here. First things first, Boardistan. This is a website that copies and pastes google alerts using keywords like “surfing” and “snowboarding” and posts whatever they think is news in the action sports industry. Naturally they add some idiotic commentary at the end of every copy and paste job proving that the douchebag running the site doesn’t know dick from any sport that involves a board.

Secondly, the reason why we’re calling Lee Crane, a former Transworld editor who runs Boardistan (which used to be called Sacklunch) a huge vagina and a douchebag. Over five years ago, we emailed the site (Crane hides behind his handles on the site because, naturally, he’s a pussy) to see if we could do a link exchange. If you notice on the Boardistan website (and fuck do we hate giving his site promotion, however exposing this fraud for who he is more than makes up for it) there are a shitload of links on the right side of the page. We thought, since we were the first and only action sports radio show in the country, that a link exchange would be beneficial for both sides.

Introducing the "Ask The Elders" Contest

ThreeOldMen.jpg

There's an adage that says, "Getting older means getting wiser." The hosts of The Extreme Scene aren't exactly spring chickens these days. The hosts, who were in their 20's when the show started, are now well into their 30's. A bunch of old creepy men running the T.E.S. empire. There is a bright side though, especially for you young 'uns out there. Thanks to The Extreme Scene, you have someone that can provide you with valuable advice on anything and everything that has to do with life. Relationship problems? We have the solutions. Kids at school peer pressuring you into one too many beer bongs? Leave it to us. And this is where we introduce the "Ask The Elders" contest.
