I'll tell you what I've been up to, a whole lot of everything. Doing three times as much & getting half the pay. Sound familiar? I'm not trying to be negative, but I'm sorry to let you all know the economy has shocked the extreme sports industry just as it has shocked the world. The only positive is that extreme sports are still somewhat of a niche, so it's not as affected as everything else.

The first Rusty Walk Off series finished up last week in Santa Cruz CA. Over 100 kids/parents showed up for the finals to watch 24 groms battle eachother on the runway in true Zoolander movie fashion. Jake "Jake Dude" Logan (up coming ripper surf grom & Rusty team rider) took out Tommy Zaferes ( Local Olympic hopeful in swim trials & surfer) in the final Walk Off to MJ's Thriller to win a Rusty surfboard & Matuse wetsuit. It was so hilarious!!!

All of us here at The Extreme Scene feel that it's a must that we make fun of ourselves. Occasionally, (OK a lot of the time) people do it for us! Here's a funny video of the first Rusty Walk Off here in Santa Cruz. It was so FUNNY! Kids had a blast. The lighting was a little dark, but we're going to fix that for the next 3. The crew over at Ruse Entertainment did a great job editing. 40 kids and parents showed up and 10 kids walked. Can't wait for the next 3. They're just going to get better and better! Woke up to my car like this this morning! Minus my GPS, 80g Ipod, and I-trip! So lame! Well, I'm sure all the driving I do ( about 60,000 k a year) is going to be so much fun without all of this stuff. Can't wait to get lost & late while trying to find a road account meeting and be super pissed off because I had to listen to our awesome shit house bay area radio stations! Thanks for listing to me bitch....hahaha! Oh well....
