Within every tragic story exists a silver lining. In the case of the recent Nashville, TN floods, the silver lining came from an individual who decided to use the flooded city streets for a wakeboarding session. Political satirist and comedian Stephen Colbert not only showed strong support for the wakeboarding exhibitionist, but went on to reveal a picture of himself in all his wakeboarding glory.

“Did you not see that sweet glass, on top of what was once a productive business district! Wooooo!” Proclaimed a giddy Colbert, shortly after showing video highlights of a wakeboarder using an SUV to be dragged along flooded streets of Nashville. Colbert then pulled out a picture of himself wakeboarding and added, “Longtime viewers know that I am a wake monster, check it!”

Colbert showed his studio and television audience that he is an avid wakeboarder. And his cracks on the “fun police” in defending the arrested Nashville wakeboarder brought widespread support from the wakeboarding community. It’s a hilarious video and reminds everyone yet again why Stephen Colbert is one of the top political commentators and television talk show hosts in the country.
