For those of you into music and skating Rude Boyz production along with Verizon and of all things Peta will be putting on what could be a pretty sick event at the Sonoma Fairgrounds the weekend of June 12th-14th.

Skaters scheduled to compete for 40K in prize money include Bob Burnquist, Danny Way, Andy MacDonlad, Buster Halterman,Adam Taylor, Jake "my shoes blew off" Brown, Lincoln Ueda, Rob Loriface, PLG, and Omar Hassan. Not bad for a North Bay event.  There's also an impressive line up of band scheduled to appear with the likes of Dead Kennedys and Bad Brains with Pepper and Rebelution. Also performing over the weekend are Hightower, Tall Black Girls, Zepparella, Egypt Central, Whiskey Thieves, and American Drag.

There will be a 175 ft. long mini-mega ramp with an 30 ft drop from the 18 ft. vert ramp. so the setup should be pretty legit. I do question the location of the event, but hey something's better than nothing and with the outrageous permit fees, horrible parking access and the Bridge and Tunnel crowd, I could see why they would avoid San Francisco. Tickets are $30 dollars in advance and $40 at the gate.  Groms under 6 are free (and should definitely see the DK's live) and kids 7-12 are only $10. See you there.
