I’m not going to act like a hypocrite and blast a man for getting his pet high. Chances are at some point in your life you’ve petted your dog or cat, smiled at them, and then blew a huge hit into their face. At which point the dog or cat either sat there and enjoyed it, or turned their face and ran off.
And while I’ll give Acea Schomaker credit both for making his own bong and trying to mellow out an abused kitten that he rescued, to stick the kitten inside the bong while you’re roasting bowls is insane. This act alone doesn’t make you an extreme dumbass though, no: It’s the fact that you got caught sticking your six-month old kitten inside a bong that truly cements your status as an extreme dumbass.
Authorities came to Schomaker’s residence after responding to a domestic disturbance call (none of the stories detail who made the call or why). However, when sheriff’s deputies arrived, they caught Schomaker smoking weed from the “boxlike contraption that had the cat stuffed inside its 12-inch by 6-inch base". Schomaker was ticketed on suspicion of misdemeanor animal cruelty, and his girlfriend, Marissa Vieux, was also ticketed for animal cruelty because she didn’t try to stop Schomaker.
Vieux rescued the six-month old kitten, Shadow, two months ago from an abusive home. Shadow, naturally, would bite and scratch them repeatedly, so Schomaker decided to mellow the kitten out by getting it high. “I know for sure this isn’t the first time someone has done this,” said Schomaker. “I’m just the first one to get caught.”
And that, in addition to sticking Shadow inside the bong, is why Schomaker is an extreme dumbass. According to Schomaker, this was the third time he put Shadow inside the box, and he said it seemed to calm the kitten down each time.
