While both the Eddie and the Mavericks Surf Contest suffered a year of big wave droughts, Pichilemu, Chile came through with dangerous 12 – 15 foot waves resulting in a big wave contest being held. And the result was a familiar one: Grant “Twiggy” Baker came away the winner of the Quiksilver Big Wave Invitational at Pichilemu, Chile.
